Our Story — Beauty Rooted in Nature

Some journeys begin not with ambition, but with love.
For Gaurangi Mangal, Founder of Soma Naturals, that love began in the quiet presence of her mother — a woman whose hands could heal, whose faith in nature was unshakable, and whose beauty radiated not from appearance but from peace.
As a child, Gaurangi watched her mother gather herbs, crush flowers, and blend oils with a serenity that felt sacred. Every act was a ritual — a prayer to the Earth. Her mother never taught Ayurveda through words; she lived it. Her shelves were filled not with cosmetics but with jars of turmeric, aloe, rose petals, and sandalwood. To her, wellness was not a luxury — it was trust.
Like many young women, Gaurangi was drawn into a world that defined beauty through comparison. She experimented with endless products and routines, only to find herself feeling further from peace. It was during a long retreat at home, surrounded once again by her mother’s simplicity, that she reconnected with the natural wisdom she had always known. Watching her mother prepare Ayurvedic blends — many of which continue to inspire Soma Naturals today — she realized that nature had always been speaking; she had simply stopped listening.
Her journey deepened in the ashrams of Kerala, where she studied Panchakarma and its connection with life, healing, and consciousness. A Certified Yoga Trainer and master of Yoga Nidra, Gaurangi has guided thousands across the world to release stress and rediscover peace. In 2023, she was invited by a group of 1,001 Buddhists in Thailand to teach Yoga Nidra and Ayurveda-based wellness practices in Bangkok — a moment that affirmed her belief that healing is universal.
Gaurangi is also a Naturopathy expert, affectionately known as “The Herbalist.” Her workshops on Satvic cooking — where food becomes prayer, simplicity becomes nourishment, and purity becomes medicine — have inspired countless people worldwide. Nine out of ten women who attend her sessions say it transformed their relationship with food and wellness. She has also trained more than 8,000 children in Kids Yoga, nurturing mindfulness, focus, and compassion from an early age.
Her spiritual journey has taken her across India’s sacred geography —
from Mayachal to Shailachal, Vindhyachal to Himachal, Brahmagiri to Kedarnath — walking the same soil sung about in the Vedas. She has visited all
the Saptapuris — Ayodhya, Mathura, Haridwar, Kashi (Varanasi), Avantika (Ujjain), Dwarka, and Kanchipuram — and 21 Shakti Peethas, with a personal vow to complete all 51 soon.
During her MBA studies in Mumbai, Gaurangi also visited all the Ashta Ganapati
Peethams, deepening her connection to divine energy even amidst a busy academic life.
Beyond her work in Ayurveda and Yoga, Gaurangi also counsels individuals to help them rediscover their true nature, true beauty, and inner peace. She believes that everything begins within — the world we experience outside is simply a reflection of the world inside.
All of these experiences form the soul of Soma Naturals, She envisioned not just a wellness brand, but a return — a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern living, where beauty is nourishment and wellness is a way of life.
The name Soma is inspired by the Moon — Chandra, the giver of rasa (essence) and emotional balance. Without rasa, life loses its sweetness; without balance, beauty loses its meaning. Guided by this ancient understanding, every product at Soma Naturals is crafted in harmony with nature’s timing, lunar rhythms, and classical Ayurvedic principles.
